how to get a massage
I’m adapting this from something I found on The Marsh’s website. I hope it’s helpful to you!
HOW TO GET A BODYWORK SESSION:
- To ensure that your experience is as fulfilling as possible, please arrive on time.
- Help yourself relax through deep, regular breathing, emphasizing the exhalation and releasing tension areas.
- As a guest, our wish is that you always be comfortable. During your Massage you will remain fully draped with a sheet except for the areas being massaged. In a Shiatsu, Reiki, or Thai Bodywork session, you should wear comfy clothes, as the sessions are clothes-on.
- Allow the therapist to move your limbs into whatever position required— just relax and enjoy your session.
- Closing your eyes during the massage helps focus your attention ourtof the head and into the body. See with your sense of touch.
- Let the therapist know if anything feels uncomfortable or if you want more or less pressure. If you are troubled by tension in a specific area, please tell the therapist.
- If the music annoys you—let your therapist know! Good massage music can be hard to find.
- If you are cold or too warm—let your therapist know that, too.
I hope you find this helpful. We’ll see you in for a session SOON!
